P-51D N5471V was the former 45-11381, which was added to the civil register as N5471V in 1963. She was bought by Jack Huismann in 1969 for $15.000 (those were the days..), and flown by him in this scheme. A thourough restoration in the early 70's saw her emerging as 'the Flying Undertaker' and in that paint was sold again in 1974. In 1981, while being owned by Ed Browning, she crashed, but was rebuilt and registered C-GRLR. In 1985, she came back to the US as first N151MR and later N551CB. 1990 saw her repainted as Glamourous Glen III. In 2001 she suffered a coolant leak, causing the engine to seized. Both passengers managed to parachute to safety, but the aircraft crashed and was destroyed. This repaint shows her in the wonderful red & white scheme from the early seventies. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, making use of the paintkit by Milan Sejdlik.
