P-51K 44-11755 J2-K "Pride and Joy" was flown by Lt. Richard Gomez Candelaria when he shot down four german fighters on one day. His final score was 6 victories, making him the 435th's only ace. His luck ran out when strafing and he became a POW on 13 april 1945. He flew with the 435th FS, based in Wattisham, UK.
