Dutch "air cruiser", concepted as a aircraft to be used in area air defence missions, with a projected secondary bomber function. It had to be heavily armed and fast and above that it had to carry enough fuel to stay in the air for a long time. First prototype build in 1937. Sixteen planes were ordered by the LVA, but when they were delivered the whole concept was outdated. At outbreak of war nine planes were operational. All were lost during the fierce battles of the May-day’s 1940. One of them shoot down a Dornier 17 German bomber. However, just a few of them had bomb racks, so this task also was not fully carried out.
