The DD384 Dunlap and DD385 Fanning destroyers were modifications of the Mahan class: they did not have a tripod foremast when they were commissioned (replaced by a single mast in 1941). The forward guns were mounted in clothed gunhouses and there was no need for a forward gun crew shelter (which Stuartt's model does not show).
Model 1941 measures 1 dark gray except for the top of the foremast, which was white.
Model 1942 measures 21 navy blue.
Model 1944 measures 33 black ocean gray and light gray.
