This is a repaint skin (textures only) for the Spitfire MkVc Tropical from Skyunlimited. www.skyunlimited.net Thank you to Cerberus and crew for this great plane and the paint template. This texture represents the Spitfire MkVc, BR124/U-2. No 603 Squadron, Operation Calender, USS Wasp, 20 April 1942. Spitfires were repainted while aboard the carrier in what pilots describe as a "dark blue" on all upper surfaces leaving the original markings visable. This was intended as a temporary measure to make them less visible during the ferry flight.
