• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This is a repaint only for the WWII Fighters Spitfire Mk Ia. This repaint depicts the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Spitfire Mk IIa, P7350, in its current scheme. P7350 is the oldest airworthy Spitfire in the world and the only Spitfire still flying to have fought in the Battle of Britain, entering into service in August of 1940. P7350 served with the 266 Squadron and 603 'City of Edinburgh' Squadron during the Battle of Britain, and was forced to make a crash landing after being involved in combat with Bf 109s. P7350 would go on to serve with 616 and 64 Squadrons until 1942 when she was relegated to support duties. P7350 would survive the war and in 1948 was given to the RAF museum in Colerne. Restored to flying condition in 1968 and utilized in the epic film "Battle of Britain", P7350 was presented to the BBMF shortly after filming ended. Currently the aircraft is operated as 'XT-L', an aircraft flown by Gerald 'Stampe' Stapleton, during the Battle of Britain, with 603 Squadron.
