This B-24J-1-DT 42-51288 was produced at the Douglas Tulsa, Oklahoma plant. It was assigned to the 713th Bomb Sqdn, 448th Bomb Group, 8th AAF. It flew out of Station 146, Seething, Norfolk, UK. Its scheme is typical of later 1944 markings in the Second Air Division.
