For the Wings Of power B-29 My repaints of the 509 CG B-29s that participated in the second nuclear mission to Nagasaki Three aircraft were supposed to be on target but..... Bockscar and The Great Artiste were the only aircraft over the target when the bomb was dropped Bockscar was the bomb carrier of course, the Great Artiste had scientific measuring devices, Big stink carried scientific observers but failed to rendevous with Bockscar and Great Artiste although it did arrive over the target later. Full House flew to Iwo Jima as a backup aircraft. Up an' Atom was the weather plane for the primary target of Kokura so was the first to depart along with Laggin' Dragon which was the weather plane for the secondary target of Nagasaki (which was bombed due to cloud cover at Kokura) So they never flew in formation as below. The other "artistic licence" I took was with the nose art. The only aircraft to have nose art applied before the 2 atomic missions was of course Enola Gay, the others, whilst most had names, did not have nose art before or during the missions. They were also marked (as depicted) with spurious tail markings (from other wings) as the 509th tail sign was an arrow in a circle. This was to confuse observers as to the true identities of the aircraft. They reverted to their proper tail markings sometime after the missions. I thought it would be a bit boring with no nose art Thankyou to David Green for the blank textures

The original B-29s were not equipped with fuselage turrets.
