🤔 Was There Ever An "UnOfficial" SOH Airfield (In the likes of 'Emma Field')❓

I wasn't here in SOH when Emma field was uploaded for FSX.
Interesting reading @falcon409's release thread.

Is there any reason not to use Emma Field again as the Unofficial SOH Airfield?
And even keep up the tradition with mods by users if they would like?

If it isn't available for FS9, then I would say not. Emma Field for FS9 was a Lago product which is practically unattainable, and no one created one independently of Lago.

Just a thought...
While planning the route for HeliFest 2, I found an small airfield in California, 4CA2 or Funny Farm.
If this field is available in various sim versions, perhaps it is appropriately named for SOH?
Nice flying around the San Joaquin valley.

It's got an 1880' rwy. The Connie TO distance is around 4600'. Lots of dirt on either end. ;)
Nothing there in FSX, so room for much customization and improvement.
Warming up ADE!

Here's the thing; if everyone wants an 'official' Airport for the Site then it should be one that everyone has access to and serves our purposes, regardless of the Sim Platform. That's why it should be a Default Airport (like Meigs) that's readily available for every Platform.

VP, from what I'm reading in very old threads on different sites it appears that the 2002 version works in FS(, minus the bells and whistles?
Emma Field for FS2004 was a free upgrade from Emma field for FS2002 by Lago, i.e. if you have a legitimate registration key for Emma FS2002 online download or CD key, then it ought to work, perfectly in the Emma Field FS2004 upgrade release (recommended as a fresh install, and not over a pre-existing Emma 2002 install); FS2004 Emma field installer accepts both Emma 2002 and 2004 registration keys, both online and CD, just as an FYI; accordingly, the only thing left to do then is to hunt down a FS2004 Emma field installer and pop in the FS2002 Emma field registration key, and away you go! ;) Cheers!
