I don`t use it, I found that CFS2 does as good a job if not better than RealityX.If you turn the G Force Effect in CFS2 on you will find that if you pull to many +Gs that you start to see black and if you pull to many -Gs you will see red.If you redline your engine for a certain amount of time and it overheats then it will stop. If you see black globs going past your canopy look down at your oil pressure. When it hits zero your engine will stop.

well I installed it. I get a lot of " your engine is over heating" if that is any indication. I am never flying for more than 10 mins, lately. just taking off and landing. I rarely get over 200mph. I have not run into G force problems. I think because I am taking it easy, I have not really seen the full effects of reality X, or I screwed up install. I have been getting a little better with instalations, and it SEEMED pretty easy, hmmm.. maybe too easy. Maybe I should go for a spin and check out the G force. It`s about time I open this baby up, farewell

The installing of these planes is pretty simple. Drop it into your aircraft folder and unzip and install any effects, gauges or weapns the download comes with. The instructions are pretty clear.

Yup, if you get the overheat message it works. Open the throttle quadrant - the little airplane icon on the panel or F5. Open the cowl flaps and ease back, say to 95%, on the prop pitch and that should solve the overheating problem. To test the Gs, climb to about 5000 feet and go into a steep dive. At about 2000 ft pull out hard. Your wings will fall off and you'll explode. RealityX is a good concept but I think it's a bit too severe.

1% planes can be finicky. If you overheat, the next time you use the plane it will start hot. The way to fix that is to delete the cdp each time you fly. That's easy to do. Just right click on the game folder and choose search. Search for cdp then select all and delete. It keeps the game clean too.

Thanks guys, I have a couple of questions about the aircraft files. Do you guys do anything with the spread sheets? For some reason, I think keeping the files as lean as possible is the way to go. Should I get rid of the extras, and just keep the basic files for the aircraft? Things are more difficult as I progress(?), I find myself using heading a lot more on take off and landing. I am trying to stay in 2D view, because I can see and use the panel. VC view is better for seeing the runway, but not as much control. The HUD view gives you all kinds of vision, I just am not used to it. I imagine (hope) as I move along, things will become second nature. I have to install a few items, then i`m off to
check out the G forces. Sorry SW, but if I wreck this F4F, I may need another! IF I wreck it?

PS SW, the only cdp file I have for AC is in a donationware corsair. There are a lot for ships, foxholes, etc. Is it OK to delete these? I am pretty sure that cdp `s do not regenerate themselfs on this pc. I use to see this happen in CFS3 when you were supposed to delete a file while installing NEK. There was some pilot file, sorry do not remember the name, that was supposed to come back, it never did. I must have done something along the way, but at least everything is working. So far, she has always started, But when I see the message I have always resloved the heating problem, quickly. Hope you can understand this, my pc lingo, she`s not so good

It will become second nature. With enough practice you'll be opening the cowl flaps, setting the trim for takeoff quicly and efficiently in just a few seconds. You'll only need a new one (delete the cdp) if you overheat. Or you can delete/remove/rename the RealityX module as bobhegf has done The extra files can be deleted but keep the checklist notes file. Hitting C will open it while you are flying. I believe it tells you the stall speed ("Airspeed over the fence")..

The spreadsheets can be deleted as well as any leftover zips as soon as you install the contents. I leave mine alone though. Remember, anytime you make a change to the files (like adding a tailhook or adjusting the tailwheell angle) be sure to delete the cdp.

Oh, and you can get a digital readout of the Gs by hitting Shift Z

Enjoy! Gear up! :applause:

Don't forget... 1% planes have lift with flaps. You'll need to do some down elevator trim when landing. (Elevator trim can be set to a slider or you can use num pad 7 and 1)

Thanks SW, I knew there most be something to make things easier.

Listen Guys, last night, maybe 8 pm, I saw a window over a SOH is down kind of notice, asking for my password. Thinking this was normal, I gave it to who I thought was SOH. After I saw the notice above, I contacted staff. I have changed my password. I am so sorry if I caused problems, I thought it was on the up and up. Again, i`m really, really sorry
