10MB Hard Disk...just $3398

Boy I remember some of those things! I had the big brother to the last one, a Sinclair Spectrum with a whopping 64kb of RAM on board and audio tape data storage. It took anything from 2 to 5 minutes to load a program (written in BASIC) and would invariably crash on completion...lol.

The first computers I used in industry were terminals on a Burroughs mainframe using the giant Winchester data drives (c.1978). The first PC-type machine I used was several years later (c.1989) and it was one of the original Mac 'toaster' designs, black and white only and the only computer in the entire Arts Faculty of a college in the UK. The following year we got 6 Apple Mac II's (with glorious 16 bit colour monitors) for the Art Department and I managed to persuade 'the powers that be' that I needed an Atari ST for the Music Department's recording studio (the Atari at that time was the industry standard for recording studios). How things have changed!

My first computer was a Atari 800, and seeing this does bring back some old memories..
And back then I was sure it couldn't get any better..:icon_lol: :icon_lol:
