Very, very nice job on this repaint! I have always liked the French Aeronaval markings.

One point that might be worth mentioning, is that the elevators on the Corsair were fabric covered, and the ailerons were plywood with fabric covering as well. A good portion of the wings were also fabric covered - which you should be able to note within the textures. In these areas, the effects of weathering may be different, if not much at all, compared with the rest of the aircraft's metal skin. ; )

What's the background info on the F4U in your pics? The yellow "FF75" side # makes me think it was a training squadron aircraft.
 
Markings are of Lt. Col. Donald K. Yost, VMF 351 in August, 1945. At the time FF75 flew off the USS Cape Cloucester
