Those Lightnings sure were something special. The BBC are doing a series called "Jet! when Britain ruled the skies" and the first episode covered, amongst many other famous British aircraft, the Lightning.

Well Taff just had that ring to it , we had the Vulcans visit the NZ many times course the period i saw my first one was around the same time i kept goggling this book in primary school , just always stuck in my mind this one picture .. brilliant Just Flight model and Iris Vulcan :cool:
