2012 the movie question

aeronca1

SOH-CM-2022
I know that the Antonov An-225 was the big a/c in the movie, but I can't remember what the twin was that they flew out on first. Anyone know?

I believe it is a C340.

BTW, among the movie's many inaccuracies: the -225 doesn't have a rear cargo door. Nose-loading only.

In most of the shots it was very likely a C-340 but I think in a couple short sequences they used a different Cessna Twin.
The movies aviation "faux pas" certainly were enough to make an enthusiast leave the theater in disgust at least for short intervals.

Cheers
Stefan

2012 was a decent movie to me. I may notice things like aircraft errors, but I tend to toss them out. When the action's good, then the rest of the world goes away for a couple of hours. So I don't care about innaccuracies like a tail door that shouldn't be there, or even sound that travels through the vacuum of space! :isadizzy:
