Who would have guessed that the already aged 737 (at the time of the 757 first flight) would outlive the 757 in production by decades.
I remember my first flight on a 757 in 1986 from Denver to Seattle. I was excited to fly in the newest of the Boeing stable. I requested a window seat and I ended up with a window seat without a window. It was a clear and cloudless day over some of the most spectacular scenery in the country and I couldn't see a thing.
