310 Out!

Outstanding, and given what we've seen as far as workmanship and details, the price is beyond belief. . .well done all involved!!:salute:
 
I already took a short flight before dinner. This will definitely be a fun plane to get to know.

I just took delivery of a new (old) Cessna 310 from her former owner at Ardmore Oklahoma and flew her to her new home at Addison Texas. It's only about 80 miles that gave me a very positive first impression. Now, I need to get into the book and figure out what the two red safetied switches are on the left electrical panel are. :kilroy:

I got my multi engine rating in a straight tail, straight tip tank 310, made my first flights in a twin for hire in a 310Q, and later a 310R like this one. Long time ago, but I still remember it well as a great airplane. It taught me how to fly in weather.

This is a great one too: the modeling, the avionics, and a flight model that is a 310R. Frame rates are excellent, too. I did a couple of engine failures on climbout and it will bite if not done properly, just like a real 310. It even waves its wings at the tower on final if you're not careful about aileron input due to the weight in those tip tanks. Ken's input as a 310 owner/pilot is all over it and that means a lot to me.

Congrats Milviz and the team on a really fine effort. :medals:

Here are a few more from the maiden voyage, lol. I can't say enough about the attention to details and the ease with which it handles framerates. I was very impressed and probably one of the few times I actually paid attention to the RPM-MP and CHT, lol. Thanks to Milviz for a beautiful airplane and to Ken for his knowledge and input. . .you guys did a great job!!
 
Yep.....I too now own this awesome plane. So know I have this and my Duke....both are very nice!

I love what you did with the prop disc...it looks awesome.

One minor quirk....as soon as I select the aircraft from the plane menu I get a lower hiss/static type sound in my speakers......am I missing something?
 
Can anyone tell me where the paint kit wound up?
Or is it a seperate download?

I got the same hiss and thought my PC was breaking lol. Nice aircraft, I already put my rxp gps in there and they fit very nice. They stay "below" the shell that came with the aircraft like the Duke. This is going to be a fun airplane.:jump:

Just had a look at all the screen shots. It looks fantastic but I have to ask before I buy - does it have some texture in the VC windows or is it open air?
 
Second flight, still very much loving it but I have a squack:

The airspeed bands on the G1000 are way off. The top of the green is at 126 (the POH says it should be at 181. Red (Never Exceed) is at 160, the book says 223.

Subjective: The yaw on the ground is pretty excessive. It's hard to keep it in the center line. My controller is a Logitech G940. I've tried one flight with the throttles disconnected from each other, the other with them connected - single engine style.

I'll stay in the "steam" version - Ken's got a great airplane.

Spectacular release Milviz.

I spent at least 30 minutes on a flight during day and 30 minutes during night...love the visuals provided by the lighting effects.

Hats off and hope you have continued success with this aircraft.
 
The other day I got to fly the Dreamlifter, amazing as I had never seen one before IRL. We all start somewhere, I started in a Cessna 150. But I well remember the milestone that flying my first light twin, and getting that multi rating.

Millviz's plane, recreates that experience, really well. Certainly the thrill of pushing those two throttles up toward the end of the runway and hearing the team of two horses racing toward the sky.

The REAL Dreamlifter? I was JUST at Paine field today and saw it parked there. They had a airship flying around Paine also.
