310 Out!

So do I, truth be told. There's just something about good old-fashioned "steam gauges..."
Yep, I agree. . .the future of avionics is the glass cockpit, but analog is just my cup of tea, lol. Even aircraft that have glass are still required to have some backup analog gauges.:salute:

It's a gloomy nasty wet day here in the PNW. Just flew the 310 from Bellingham to Concrete and Darrington, and finished with an ILS at Boeing field where the weather was better. Active Sky Evolution for the scuzzy weather.

This 310 is really really good.

cheers,
steve :wavey:

Nice screenshots!

I have to wonder though why virtually no one ever turns ON their Xpndr? Every screenshot posted anywhere always has the GTX330 in "standby mode..." :icon_lol:

Well, for one. . .it's a simulator, lol. . .but beyond that, I rarely fly IFR and even more rare are any conversations with ATC, which in FSX is laughable at best.:salute:

'cause I was scud running and not sure I had VFR minimums. :d

Fair enough, but there are many useful functions on the GTX337 aside from the Xpndr.

Elapsed Time
Count Up Timer
Count Down Timer
Pressure Altitude display
etc.

:redf: Yes, the first thing I usually do with a new aircraft is to swap in as much of my RXP stuff as possible. :gameon:

PS. I think that this has been the most expensive FS weekend for me yet :)

Rumor has it, there's a plan afoot to require onboard circuitry that precludes throttle advancement over 1000 RPM if the Mode C transponder isn't turned on. If you don't have a transponder, the engine won't even start :icon_lol:.

Sadly, I may have to return this beauty. Three flights and three OOM crashes. Running Vista 32 Home Premium with 3 gb of RAM and nvidia 8800GT in a Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 ghz.

For anyone wondering what it takes to make a product like this.

On 8-9-2009, the first polygon on the 310 was made on my computer. 13 months later, it was released after it has been in 10+ differant people's hands. I would say $30 is a bargin for that sort of time and dedication! :wiggle:
