Panamera Turbo
http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/panamera/panamera-turbo/

The first one I noticed was going passed me in the next lane and just the lines of the car made me take notice. It was gorgeous. I had no clue as to what it was. When it got in front of me, is when I saw the name on the back.

I didn't know they made 4 -door Porsches. The first one I saw was a Turbo. I can't remember if it said "Turbo S". The second two I've seen I couldn't tell if the were Turbos or just plain vanillas from the angles I was at.

This is hands down one of the most impressive looking new cars I've seen on the road in a long time.

Sorry guys - meant to put this in the Newshawks and can't figure out how to move it. :)

You can see these regularly in S Florida - it really is a stunning car, and has fantastic reviews. If I could afford a highway driver at that level, the Panamera would be it...

Hmm that Brabus looks pretty good....coincidentially there is a Porsche Panamera parked outside at the moment..had a good look at it..still dont like it...looks too much like a bloated and fat 911..a 911 that lost its "purity" of its famous shape

Agree the Cayenne is a styling atrocity, and is what happens when a 911 gets a leg over a Range Rover...
However, it saved the company and made a huge profit.
The Panamera is what happens when a 911 gets a leg over a luxury 4-door car, in a class of its own and nobody does it better.
I also hate it.
If you want 4 seats, go-anywhere capability, and Real Soul, this is what you want

My first road car was a 1978 998cc Mini that I transplanted a 1275cc engine into. I fabricated a set of spacers and had some 10" Minilite alloys too. Great fun car...and with the original drum brake setup....guaranteed to get the heart pumping !!:kilroy::icon_lol:

My favourite Porsche model is the 993...though I've a hankering for a classic 928 too.

Someone who worked in the Porsche design department spilled the truth about the Panamera:

the objectives for this car when they started the design-process was to create a car for (original terms) doughbags and poseurs!

I think that says it all...

I really like the 70s models from Porsche, but their new stuff lost it´s appeal to me ever since!

Hmm not sure about that Ferrari either....looks better than the Panamera though...too many compromises I think ...if I had that sort of money to splurge on cars I would get a Ferrari 458 and something like the Aston Martin Rapide or maybe a Jaguar.

Here's a brand new 458 our local rock star (AC/DC drummer) owns (along with a RR Phantom, Ferrari F-40, Mercedes SLS, Bently Continental, Ferrari 599, Audi R8 V-10, Lamborghini Muercilago!)

I was being perhaps half-serious, I reckon the 4-door supercar is the most cynical exploitation of the billionaire-grown-up market...(and see also Abu Dhabi's FerrariWorld)

What is it about the drummers?
Pink Floyd's Nick Mason also has an automotive museum!
And generously lends them out to automotive hacks to wring out, for our further pleasure.

Yummy 458 there...real Ferrari.

What a sharp looking car! I love the dash and also the back seat area. They really did well with putting tons of neat gadgetry in there, making it spacious as well. Not like the old Porsche 928's that had super small 'gloves' that you fit in back there. This is luxurious, tasteful, like a competitor against Aston Martins flagship.

I did see one, and thought it was a concept car. I never even heard that they released them. I must also say that the lines, I thought, were very nice. I couldnt believe I was looking at a 4 door 911 looking machine. I kept doing a double take.

Thanks for the heads up to the website. I grabbed all those pictures. Some good wallpaper photos of the exterior and some good study material for the interior bits for my new Avelina plane.
