This is for you retro Cold War types ... you know who you are ... hung on to FS9 as long as you could just so you could fly Calclassic and all that good old FS9 stuff ... :)

Up in the library there's a cool pack of Soviet armour objects ... http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=109&linkid=16156

SteveB (Stalin, to you guys who remember the FS2004 SOH days) and some others have created a fantastic little group of common period types: T-55 tank, BTR60 APC, and BRDM recce vehicle. These were created for FS9 - but CG_1976 and I had a chance to beta test these in FSX - they work like a charm!

For progress and screenshots - see here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...cold-war-vehicles-scenery&p=795999#post795999

Bonus: Steve and his crew (read: comrades) may at some date add some additional items - an R-12 and/or an SA-2, and some other period objects.

Obvious applications are 67/73 Middle East, Viet Nam, and of course, all throughout the Iron Curtain. Afghanistan in the 80s, the possiblities are almost limitless. Thought this would be of any interest to anyone who builds scenery and likes Cold War hardware.

Cheers,

DL

PS:

I may throw together a quick and dirty 'Cuba '62 pack. Nothing intense - just a few bits of armour and such in a few of the missile zones. Maybe over the next couple of weeks ... Would this be of any interest to anyone?
