Rick,

Amen! :USA-flag:...

...but I must also give a "shout out" to my mom and dad, Kathy and Gary, who have been married 36 years as of today! :applause:

Happy anniversary mom and dad, and god bless those who found to defend the world from the grips of tyranny.

I always found it mildly humorous that they were married on D-day, they must of realized that marriage sometimes can feel like war.

My uncle was 20 or 21 on the 5th of June 1944 and on 6th jumped into Normandy with the 101st Abn Div "Screaming Eagles ". May he RIP and all who gave the ultimate sacrifice. If I recall correctly , he told me he landed right at the edge of the area the Germans had flooded and buried his boots in a foot of mud . It took him 2 or 3 days to find his unit and he shook with fear the entire time he was lost until he got reunited .
