7 won't from XP

so lets see if i have this right, we have to have vista first to upgrade??? no formatting the HD and doing it that way?? :help:
 
Not if you're doing a clean install from the way I read it ... only if you're upgrading from XP ...
 
OH! The Horror!!!

I'll have to format my drive and do a clean install!?!?!?!

That means I'll have to do it just the way I planned in the first place! And I'll need to download new drivers to work with the new OS? Who would have thought it?
 
Clean installs are the way to go anyway. I've never installed an OS overtop of another one.
