707

I was only posting about converting their Caravelle to FSX with MCX... and was banned with no explanation just like an ordinary DPRK hacker...

LOL!! Yes, they are very "nostaligiac" (i.e., live in the past) over there. They don't seem to want to know about FSX, let alone P3D or what can be done with these, e.g., merge VC's. They don't really do VC's. The mere suggestion of running one of their circa 17 year old FS9 models through MCX (don't think they know what MCX is) is sheer heresy. Lucky you got off with only being banned!

Screenshots of my first maiden Captain Sim 707 flight have been published in the FSX Screenshot subform of SOH forums.

Enjoy!!

Aharon

By request, Western Airlines. All textures are 32 bit to preserve sharpness and color. Get it here at Sim-Outhouse file library. Look in "FSX Civilian jet skins library"

TeiscoTelRay,

Great and excel
lent repaint of Western Indian Chief livery especially you made sure the bottom had shiny metallic livery which is very important for realism.

Too bad that Western did not use cream co
lor for 707-300 series. You are correct to use white color. Once again, many thanks for your GREAT repaint!!!!!!!

I
love cream color Western livery that was seen on its fleet of Boeing 720B

Example on B720 featuring medium cream color Western livery

I have that cream co
lor repaint of Western livery for HJG 720B model base.

Looking really good and a very heartfelt 'Thank You' for serving up some modern standard HD skins.
Love these Classic repaints, much classier than the present day cartoon efforts.

Thanks, I am detail obsessed and send out most of my repaints in DDS 888-8 32 bit so there is virtually no loss in texture quality.
Here are some examples of that process in an American Airlines paint I am doing:

WHOA WHOA WHOA what a realistic metallic shine with realistic dirt detail on engine covers!!!! :applause::applause::applause::applause:

Hate to see a man cry, but these shots have me in tears as I no longer have FSX and blasted CS can't get their act together to change the gauges to 64 bit so she works in P3Dv4 and 5 - like just about every other developer has seemed to manage. So my beloved CS 707 sits in the hangar. Boo hoo hoo!

I ditched FSX long ago and P3Dv3 is my default FSX.
After all, the CS Boeings work in v3 and I'd purchased P3Dv3 in the LM series of 'upgrades'.
And I'm really appreciating that Braniff scheme, never come across it before.
:triumphant:

I love the 707. Wombat mentioned ditching FSX a while back. I still have it to help convert aircraft to P3D but that is it. My FSX is also P3D-3. My main sims are P3D v-4 and v-5. That means the cs 707 isn't there for me. Hopefully someone will convert the cockpit so I can fly a favorite. All the the paint schemes shown in this thread are fantastic. They make the 707 come alive again. Great work guys.

And I am still on FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2 for almost 15 straight years with no intentions to move to P3D or MS2020 although MS2020 will happen in my pc in 2023 when the new flight sim platform becomes bug free and perfect with more additions of aircraft types plus filling Alaska with missing airports.

(sorry for off the thread comment but hey everybody is taking about retirement of FSX)

Regards,

Aharon

If anyone is interested I might do a full metal paint kit of sorts. This would include polished, as new, fuse, wings, tail and engines. You can overlay your color scheme on these textures. Also detailed doors, windows and such included.
