8 Worst Easter Candies

.
Not sure about you all, but as a kid whenever biting the head off of a chocolate rabbit & finding it hollow, I always felt kind of swindled.

Really?

I loved hollow chocolate rabbits! You bite the ears off first and then you slowly make your way down, piece by piece...Yeah!

.
That was then. Am loving them now... filling them up with fudge topping first. I saw the light.

wifie mixed up a batch of coconut macaroon stuff,
half flattened out golf ball size portions,
made an indentation so it looked like a nest.
baked them, then added 3 #3s.
yummy!!!

turns out, she forgot to add the melted chocolate
to the macaroon stuff,
but it was still pretty damn decedent.

side note;
I am a bit disappointed that my favorite Easter candy isn't on the list,
Hershey's Candy Coated Chocolate Eggs :wiggle:

while we're on the subject,
how do you feel about 200 year old Cadbury being bought by Kraft?

while we're on the subject,
how do you feel about 200 year old Cadbury being bought by Kraft?

I remember reading about it last month- I don't know why they would have sold to Kraft? Cadbury chocolates are very popular in Canada. Not too long ago, co-workers would ask me to buy some for them when I would go on trips back home.

Hopefully, Kraft does not make any drastic changes to any of the recipes, etc. If they leave it status quo, I don't foresee any real major changes from the acquisition.

However, I'd be interested to know why they decided to sell in the first place?

first and foremost, my apologies for changing the subject.

Cadbury had no choice.
it was a hostile take over and the share holders went along with it.
what Kraft wanted, and got, was Cadbury's overseas markets.
unfortunately, Kraft made promises regarding workers jobs,
which they promptly reneged on as soon as the deal was done.
I doubt that Kraft will change the recipes
unless they can make more money by changing them.

in protest, this year, I only bought 2 Cadbury Cream Filled Eggs.
twas a heavy sacrifice, I know,
but a man's gotta do
what a man's gotta do.

I did notice that they were a bit smaller than in the past,
but I don't know if that was Kraft's doing.
most likely not...
this time
