My husband belongs on the same team as you Brad! He LOVES Peeps! He doesn't care what color they are, as long as they are Peeps.

Did you see that they now make them covered with Chocolate? Yep, chocolate-covered Peeps!

Don't believe I've ever had one of them ... am I missing out?

I want to complement you on getting tis thread back on topic where it belongs. Now, I can actually say you guys are sweet. ;)

I am with txnetcop in that I enjoy jelly beans. I also, can get into a chocolate rabbit. However, my all time favorite Easter candy has to be the Sugar eggs (hard sugar outside and marshmallow sugar insides). I don't look at the calorie count. I just enjoy them.

When I was a kid and dollar bills were as hard to find as Bigfoot, Mom would buy our Easter candy a day or two AFTER Easter...when it was marked down 50 to 75%. She was able to get us more for less. One year, Mom surprised us with 5 pound chocolate bunnies. Five pounds of rich milk chocolate and a hyper active kid with more than a touch of ADD and a very strong speech impediment should never be allowed in the same county together. I was stuttering at light speed, every muscle and nerve fiber in my body was vibrating like Hummingbird wings, and it took four fully grown grown men to hold me still. Mom made sure from that year on that I was only given very small pieces of candy at a time...never again was I handed 5 pounds of chocolate and left unsupervised.

OBIO

OBIO, I think you missed your calling. You should have been a stand up comic. That is one of the funniest stories. I can just see you bouncing off the walls.

being a chocoholic i love easter baskets. however, alot of people don't understand that there is an important ritual to eating a cholate bunny. first, you bite off the ears, to expose the hollow cavity. then you fill it with cold milk. you sip and nibble till it's all gone. you don't stop, you don't rest. you finish it all, one sitting.

I've never had much of a sweet tooth. I ask this question,

why can't there be easter eggs filled with steak or sandwiches? :wavey:

I can enjoy reese's peanut butter cups. They don't quite count as easter candy, but the mini ones are put into easter eggs all the time. I enjoy those.

Tomorrow I'll be setting out easter eggs for my nephews. I'll be sure to challenge the heck out of them.

Mom sent me enough candy and chocolate to last me for weeks.

The highlight?
A whole bag of these:

That does look awfully good! Getting older sucks, to stay in shape you really have to watch everything you eat!

.
Not sure about you all, but as a kid whenever biting the head off of a chocolate rabbit & finding it hollow, I always felt kind of swindled.
