A-10 Thundbolt gun sound.

.
Yo demorier;

Here are the internal & external GAU-8 sounds I've come up with. :wavey:

They sound very close to the real thing - but 40 years of heavy metal music has damaged my ears (and brain?)

I think I've got the volume level close, but I can easily make it LOUDER.

Could one or more of yous check them out & tell me what yas think?

Well, I played around with the recording a bit using Audacity and really couldn't get it to sound any better. I thought maybe it needed a slightly lower tone but was not sure. Realize also, my dear daddy dirt, that this is a stereo recording. Could that possibly make the recording sound too fast? The fact is, I have only heard them on The Military Channel. Those of you who have heard them for real should be the judges but there are a lot of effects we could try to get it right.

Here is a segment of the dp numbers I came up with for my A-10....using firing rate 3900rounds/minute,changed gun sound to 30mm cannon, cheated a little on the "Guns" numbers based on full magazine of 1174 rounds, it's a Kirk Olsen model aircraft with a lot of input from Area51 from way back. How do these numbers compare to others ?
