I love this plane...but so far I haven't figured out how to start the engine

even the autostart wont work for me...I wonder if I missed something ?

Even the autostart ? If you're using Cold&Dark mod to start the flight with a completely switched OFF cockpit, then you might want to enrich your mixture prior to try to start the engine. Press CTRL+SHIFT+F4, then try to start the engine.
