A few DH Vampire repaints (wip)

Looking very good Henry! Love the SAAF and scandinavian paints. What about a green Norwegian FB.52 from 336 or 337 Sqn ?

I'm afraid this is not possible due to the mapping (see attached pics)

It's a great metal texture, but I'm not sure it's really appropriate as the Vampires are more painted silver than natural metal. I'll be very happy to fly them either way though :salute:
 
They were painted Silver cos the Vamp were mostly made from wood minus the hot areas etc ... o_O

He makes a good point. Not sure which parts were made of wood myself (I'm guessing the wings), but it'd probably be better to make them look less metallic if you can find out which bits were wood and which metal.

The booms and tail sections were metal and the rest wooden afaik.



Edit: Seems that the wings were metal too.....

I've been strugling to make a high speed silver and think that the finnish AF ine is somewhat closer, but i don't really know.
