A few questions on installing 1 % aircraft.

Was going to install a 1% B-25 and when i read the install instructions it called for a file called RX-DLL and a file called 714FX .zip. Did a search but could not find these. Can anyone help me ? Thanks for any help,Scott
 
Hi sixstrings5859: You don't have to use the RealityX dll. If you do, you will have to watch your engine temp an G-forces. If you exceed the max Gs, your plane will fall apart. :banghead: If you exceed the max temp, you will have to open cowl flaps and decrease the prop pitch or your engines will sieze up. Realityx makes flying these planes more challenging. :wiggle:
 
Just tried installing my first 1% aircraft a F4U-1D and am having troubles.:banghead: When i select the aircraft the screen shows up with no panel and no movement forward. Installed gauges,effects ,weapons,ect.. but to no avail. Also the other stock aircraft shows the same problems. When i move the 1% Corsair into the hanger the stock aircraft behave normally. Running Win7 64 bit. Could this be the problem ? At a loss. Running 10 installs of CFS3,4 of IL-2 '46 so i know a little about adding things and following directions but this makes me feel stupid ! Is there something i'm missing ? Any help ? Thanks,Scott Ps and i'm running in administrator.
 
Did you download and install the 1% gauges - http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=148&id=6083 ? Open the 1US_F4U-1D folder and delete the .cdp file then open the panel.cfg and make the views look something like this:

[VIEWS]
view_forward_WINDOWS=%window_title_00%
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.7, 0.0, 0.0
VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.3
VIEW_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.85
VIEW_LEFT_ZOOM=0.85
VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=0.85
VIEW_FORWARD_UP_ZOOM=0.85

I just downloaded the aircraft from the library nd installed it in a "clean" install and it (except for some weapons) loaded fine in Free Flight. :applause:
 
Win 7+ panel lock?? Try removing render_3d_window=1 from the panel.cfg or setting it to 0.
 
That was the problem Allen. The 1% Corsair now works correctly! My first install. It all begins now ! Thanks for the advice fellas. Cheers,Scott

Did you know that in order to be within the advertised 1% of true performance, these planes must be set to flight model = hard and weapons set to strongest?
 
Yes. I read that in the install instructions. Like the 1% concept as in CFS3. Had them in CFS2 back in the day and had to have them again. A must have in my book. Like the challenge to fly and the immersion. Still gotta get use to the 2D panels but other than that they are fun to fly.
