Nice pics. The ground textures in the first shot look great. What are they?

Looking good! Where is the second shot taken at?

First one should be in OrbX FTX area, I guess?

antipodes: diametrically opposite side of the globe (Oz and NZ from the UK) :engel016:

Great shots btw!

One is Hervey Bay, by FTX, and the other is Las Vegas. Thanks guy!!:wiggle:

I have tried the FTX demo, it has to be the best addon out there for ground textures on a vast scale. I still dream of something of the same quality coming out for the UK, those rich green textures are great.

Great pictures

Agreed,
It would be good if the FTX temperate zone textures could be applied to Europe. It would be nice as a specific Euro product but I'd take just the textures with a good landclass.

I'm not much for their regional work, I just like the airports. :kilroy:

Nice shots. :)

I noticed the cockpit was black in the L-39 though, probably a texture.cfg fallback path issue. If you copy the file L39Ext11.dds from one of the default paints into your repaint's folder it should show up again properly.

Cheers,

-Mike

And some people complain about customer support these days.....

Dude; you're troubleshooting my setup (unsolicited) from screenshots!!:applause::salute:

I must not have waited for it to load or something. I usually don't have that problem.

Check back here, Lotus. I'm arguably the best screenshot guy 'round these parts.

nevermind, I'll make a new thread.

lol cocky?

Yours shots are decent :applause:

I did use the term 'arguably' because there are many good screenshot guys here and elsewhere. It's obvious you're only here to take a shot at me, otherwise you wouldn't have used the term "decent". These aren't decent shots. They aren't perfect; but they are darn good ones.

Since this is a screenshot thread, please oblige me with your work. I will give credit where it's due if they are indeed better.

Tigisfat, you have been very snappy lately and it is getting on mine and everyone else's nerves. We have a professional screenshot artist on this very forum that is actually seeked out by developers to provide screenshots. Do you have that one under your belt? I will most likely get in trouble for this but I don't care. It is about time somebody said it.

I know I have been involved in several controversial threads lately. I don't want to stir up trouble, and I apologize for any annoyance to you and anyone else who's been bothered. I have controversial viewpoints from time to time; I'm not out to piss people off. I promise. The fallout of posting controversial views is what you saw and did yourself above. People will follow me to other threads and take shots. It happens for a while. I don't want to battle these people, like RyanbATC, but I will respond. My reponse above wasn't that rude, I didn't say anything innapropriate, it was just a response.

Yes I do, but not as extensively as him. I'm also the leader of the screenshot artist's association. His shots are great ones and he's truly an artist I respect. I didn't think it'd step on anyone's toes if I used 'arguably', and I don't think he'll lose any sleep by me saying my screenshots are up there with some really good guys. He also hasn't been seen around here much, hence the "these parts". If my saying mine are "arguably the best 'round these parts" offended you or RyanbATC, then I apologize.

This is par for the course. If I hadn't made any controversial posts lately, then you guys wouldn't have come here to pick apart my comments in this thread. I realize that.

While your post was off-topic and personal, you didn't really say anything wrong. Things like this are better handled via PM. I doubt you'll get in trouble.

:ernae: Have a beer on me, Ryan and rezabrya. I'm just trying to post some screenshots and have fun by saying my shots are "arguably" the best. Again, I'm sorry you've been offended.

It's obvious you're only here to take a shot at me, otherwise you wouldn't have used the term "decent".

Yeah you're right. I spend my time trolling the SoH forums looking for the opportune moment.....

I don't really post my shots here but usually at avsim or flightsim and I never post thinking mine are better than someone else's. There's a huge array of skill level when it comes to FS screenshots. I wrote "cocky" because you come out and suggest you're the best at screenshots. Then I say your shots are decent with a little clapper icon and you say I'm out to get you....

Ok.

p.s. I did like your B727 shot.

What is the 'screenshot artist's association'?

It is an invite-only social group run out of flightsim.com's social networking sites. The foundation is a group of people who are committed to producing artful screenshots as if it were one of FSX's primary functions, just the same as any real world aviation photographer would. I don't edit myself, but all forms of screenshot artistry are allowed.

You should stop by and check it out, we'd love for you to visit.

There is an album within the social group that you can can check out too. It's not for posting average shot, but a place to store and show off some of your best work. We also hold competitions where you can vote for anyone but yourself.
