A humble repaint request...

I have to second that request....also one of my favorite color schemes. Someone, maybe it was Bomber, did a LOU IV P-51D repaint for the original Wings of Power P-51 and it's what I fly the most. The tops of the drop tanks were also painted blue so that when looking at it from above, they blended in with the blue wings.

I recall at the time there was some discussion regarding whether the blue was actually olive-drab or vice-versa. Don't remember what it turned out to be, but the blue definitely looks good !

Most if not all of the Mustangs you see flying today with blue over silver/metal 361st FG markings, were the product of 1970's, 80's, and early 90's research and restoration efforts. One miss-interpreted photo led many in the warbird community at the time to believe that the 361st FG aircraft had blue top-sides. However, the 361st never used blue - they used RAF green, which has since been backed up by many other photos and veteran accounts. Yet, many owners still like the blue, even though it is far from accurate, or for sentimental reasons do not want to change the paint scheme.

I can give it a go. It will take me a day or two to get it done most likely. I'm not as fast as jankee's or a few of the others that are very good.

Thank you very much Headwind! I look forward to it. My Photoshop skills just aren't up to par when it comes to this :ernae:

ok I got a little time from the family to work on this. Here is a WIP screenshot. it's got a bit to go but I think it's coming along nice enough should be done soon. I still need to trim the blue above the MR and on the other side. Then put the envasion stripes on, that kind of good stuff.
