Hello Manuele et al :)

I decided to create a non-reflective C-60A to see how it would look. Let me know if this is okay or if other changes need be made.

Just unzip and add the folder to the Lodestar folder.
Change one of your C-60A entries [fltsim.n] entries to use this one (C-60Anr).
 
I decided to do the C-57 too since there were many transports using camo textures.

Just pop this C57nr into your folder and change the fltsim.n section to use this new variant.
 
Attention Night Flyers: Many of you like me really enjoy flying at night. If you are not satisfied with the Lodestar gauge brightness at night, I have put together some improvements you may wish to try. Not being a texture artist, I could not take this to the level I would like but this does brighten most gauge faces for better readability. If you would like to try this, simply unzip and copy paste these 4 bmps to one of your texture folders to try. If you like it better then the originals, then copy to all your texture folders for the Lodestar.

The NR models (both) are OK !!! I don't tested, but I suppose they will work OK also in FSX....

I do not model for FSX; I have enough issues in my life :) but as I have stated over the years about any of my projects, anyone who wants to do her justice as an FSX native project is welcome to the gmax source. It's not for the faint of heart and will not work as a quick and dirty conversion. Those never turn out very well. But if someone seriously wants to take it on, they will have my support.

If you look at what gman5250 is doing with the F7F series, or LDR is doing with the Mallard FSX native project, that's what I would like to see. :)
 
For the want of a nail, Part 2

Hi, Milton!

Here's one of the "Four Sisters" (NC-33663, NC-33666, NC-33668, NC-33669) a pure cargo version dressed in Pan Am colors. I just finished painting on the "cargo doors" and took her for a short hop around Oshkosh.


I also love the new flight model. I did one landing with full flaps and she touched down at something like 60 mph. Simply amazing and she stopped on a dime. Great short field characteristics.



My painting is limited by my using the stock M$ paint program on a XP machine so I can't do the angled lettering above the windows and the actual details on the upper nose area are not correct, but I can't do what I know I need to do with it. This will have to do until, hopefully, one or more of our expert painters (you know who you are) decides that this "forgotten Pan Am" beauty needs the proper skins that only they can render!

NOW ... IF I CAN JUST GET A MODERATOR TO REMOVE MY ORIGINAL POST OF THIS IN THE F7F TIGERCAT THREAD ... LIFE CAN RETURN TO NORMAL!

Anybody notice that the numbers on the tail of "Goodtime Gal" is different from the actual aircraft? "Goodtime Gal" is 256005 as she sits in Houston. (N60JT)
