A new minesweeper!

Thanks Psullykeys!

This has been a greatly overlooked class of boat in CFS 2

For those needing an info shot for the Mission Builder, expand and copy the one below.

Nice job Psullykeys! :applause:

A little something to add to the extra section in the dp. to keep the mosquitoes away. Smoke stack smoking. :kilroy:

great ship Sully, a beauty.:ernae:

/me cracks a bottle of champers on her bow and kicks out the keys

Thanks all, more pix on the Naval forum. Interesting little class (450) of wooden minesweepers built at yacht yards, they served on all fronts for the USN and RN.

DVSLATS: powered by 2 diesels, they did not smoke even though the giant stack would lead you to believe they did. (just diesel exhaust) The last 50 or so were built with no stacks.

Thanks to Collin, who helped me through the FSDS learning process and the support of many others.:icon29::guinness:

Rami and Chrisger shook her down for me.....

Her one 3" 50 DP and her 2 - 20mm will make you respect her a little, but she is made of wood!

Enjoy her.....

Very nice work! Thank you a lot, Psullykeys! And also very glad to have a new shipbuilder among us!

She looks just fine without the smoke. :ernae:

I haven't replaced the smoke with diesel exhaust from one of my CVE's ... but as to Dirtman's question as to how she blows up (OK ... I tweaked her a tad with my Cocopa dp) ... this is what happened when she ran into one of TR's Type VII's ... I think it was 4 or 5 rounds:pop4:

WHAT A DAMNED FINE LITTLE SHIP, PSK ... we need to talk.:mixedsmi:

That's not Sweeping.......that catching

I don't think that is sweeping............heck, Looks like someone is catching........a torpeedee!

Dang best blow em up good shots yet.........

However, this is the minesweeper sticky...........So may the lord take a liking to ya.......and blow ya up real soon..........later

But now.........

Some shots of the ship..........

Looks good. The army pukes had to drop off some minesweeping stuff.

DIESEL EXHAUST

Well ... I used a nesting of Me262 exhaust for the diesel exhaust (like in some of my CVE's) ... now it looks better I think

Lookin' good guys, researching the engines, they were the same used in the subs.....so very little exhaust, but some when starting off at full throttle after a time of idling. A bad power assembly would also cause an engine to exhaust blue smoke - like bad rings or valve guides in an automotive engine.

Put on what ya like, she's freeware! Some pix attached:guinness:

Underway I think there would be just a faint waffle of Brown'ish pastel haze trailing aft of the stack :a1451:
