A new project: the Fiat G-12

Hi Friends,
Here are some screenshots of the second version we finished: the FIAT G.12L with FIAT A.74 engines, used by Compagnia Trasporti Aerei "Airone" during 1947. Stefano is finishing the CA version (short fuselage, Alfa Romeo engines), the first Alitalia plane and the T/TR version, with FIAT A.74 engines, used by Regia Aeronautica during WWII.

Question about G12 modeling

Hi, let me first thank you for modeling this beautiful Italian trimotor.

Are you modeling in FSDS or GMAX?

I am a beginner FSDS modeler and I was interested to know how to simultaneously cut flaps & ailerons from wings using Boolean operations and how to cut cockpit windows and replace them with a clear windscreen.

I would appreciate some guidance in this regard. But, please remember, I am a relative newbie as far as aircraft design goes.

I always thought I was familiar with most of the world's aircraft, until I got into flight sim. :d Good looking plane, you guys do excellent work.

Another G.12, the CA version (C=Corto/Short-A=Alfa Romeo Engines) is almost finished, Stefano is still working on VC.
In the pictures it is represented in the A.M.I.(Italian Air Force) livery.
Italian Air Force received all the Fiat G.12s (all versions) dismissed by the various companies between 1948 and 1950 and used them as transport in 36th Stormo, early based on Guidonia AB and later on Latina AB. I also made the Alitalia (I-DALH) livery, the FIRST Alitalia plane (May 1947)!!!!

Now I'm working on the T/TR Version (the last....UFFF!!!!) in Regia Aeronautica (1942) and Avio Linee Italiane (1947) liveries.

Hi Tom,
We are still working......:running::running::running::running:
At this moment I finished the skins and Stefano is working on the VC.
The release ? Maybe during the next month, but I'm not sure.

Four screenshots of the early (the last in the series we made) version of the G.12, the "T", used by Regia Aeronautica during WWII (605th Sqdn/148th Grp"T", Sicily 1942) and, after the war, by Avio Linee Italiane and two screenshots of the "CA" version, in the early Alitalia livery (I-DALH/"Alcione", the FIRST Alitalia plane, May 1947)!!!!
Stefano hopes to finish the VC during June......
