A Paint Req please

I wish I was good with Ai as I would love to have 440Sq Ai. Excellent Idea, goes perfect with Markus's Twotters and Buffalo paints and a soon to come new YZF Scenery, but I'll leave YZF to Sidney and Pete.

Thank you!

I'm glad you like this 'Turbine Turtle' as much as I do... :jump:

This big black 'radar nose' of the ski model looks a little strange, but maybe PAD will consider about putting the short noser on skis or tundra tires too.

And yes, repaints for AI versions (basing on suitable models) of
- 440 Sq. Twin Otters (HTAI),
- Air Tindi Dash7 (Milton),
- Air Tindi KingAir (HTAI)
- and maybe some BUFFALO stuff
are in the pipeline.

Due to the fact that I'm still clumsy when it comes down to creating flightplans, I'd gladly provide this part of a coming "Great Slave Lake AI madness pack".

Anyone interested in taking over the flightplans section?
Pete? Sid?

Cheers,
Markus.

The major work is done!
Just added some little eye-candy such as exhaust areas (I love them!) and fire extinguisher markings. Note the 440 Sq. crest on the fin.
The black (taped?) leading edge areas of the wing struts unfortunately had to be omitted, the texture mapping is quite weird (mirrored) there.

No I'll tinker on the floats, they still look too slick to me.

Cheers,
Markus.

Nice work Wild Bill, I have downloaded your artistry and I'll enjoy it.

Hi,

Thank's for the exellent repaint(s) :ernae:
A pity the Premier flight model have not the same perfection than your repaints ....

Have you tried the DHC-6 flight dynamics "fix" on our web site ? If you have tried it and still have some issues I would be pleased to hear what areas you think could be improved, we are a lot better now at FD's than we used to be.

Thank you, Bob!
But I must insist on the following statement I wrote to Milton concerning his Dash7 once before:
Yours is the work of art, I just added some handicraft!

Period.

I think I have to state something at this point:
I received a quite uncourteous mail, blaming me of having copied someone else's CF Twin Otter repaint.
This is my answer:

> Did you by any chance happen to use my Twin Otter Repaint for your own?
> Alot of it is Identical to my hard work

It may seem, but it isn't.
In fact, *nothing* is copied from your work on the 13805 (which I know and appreciate of course):
As you might see when taking a look at my previously released repaints, I did a bunch of RCAF/CF aircraft before. All of the markings used (maple leaf flag, roundel, lightning bolt, prop warnings, FIP symbols) were taken from public sources such as wikipedia or done by me on those previous releases.
Let's take the red and white lightning bolt for instance:
I once developed it for the MAAM Dakota, and later on, recycled it for the Aurora, the Cosmopolitan and the Dash7 with length and angle fitted to each model.

>...but essentialy just an upgrade to my work.

I must object on this. The whole repaint was done from scratch.
Of course, the placement of the markings and lettering is almost identical, but as the same model is used, this appears inevitable to me...

I'm sorry that you might feel plagiarized, but your accusation is without
reason.

Sincerely,
Markus Hellwig.

Just to let you know...

Hi,

Have you tried the DHC-6 flight dynamics "fix"

LOL
I was on the point to post my own corrections ...
Anyways , downloaded and installed the Aircraft.cfg fix.
Same result as with my mod .. despite it's some very little differences in the contacts points.
So the fix work .. and the biggest problem (Plane weird behaviour when reverse action terminated ... was bouncing with a sudden forward movement) is solved.
Thank's for the headup.

Just for the record, it was not me, or anyone at PAD, that sent that email to you.

P.S. With your permission Wild Bill I will be posting your CAF repaint on our web site in the repaints section. The last CAF repaint I did was for FS8 so it's overdue.

Of course not!
But everyone who can read between the lines (or some posts upwards...) knows where this mail came from.
I'm truly sorry that this guy feels offended, but - as Bart Simpson would say - "I didn't do it!" :engel016:

I would feel very honoured - thank you!

Very nice paint! I like it fitted with skis, too!
