A Pair of RAAF Shark Mouths

Nice shots & formation flying John..
A Spitfire I know well. Some background to the Spitfire scheme. From memory the Alpine Fighter Collection Spitfire (Mk XVI - TB863) was temporarily painted in those colours for one of the Omaka Air Shows to go with a CAC Boomerang (now thats an idea -do another formation with the FR Boomerang) they had bought over from Aussie just for that air show. TB863 usually has a standard European scheme and was orginally a RAAF Spitfire with 453 Sqn (RAAF) based in Europe. The Spitfire now resides at Temora with the Mark VIII Spitfire "Grey Nurse" (which does have a shark mouth) in NSW, Australia.

John - can you make your next model after the Airacobra a Mark XVI low back Spitfire?

Thank you guys, and thank you Naki for the information about TB863 (I've never read about the details of that aircraft)! Although it does have the appearance of Omaka in the shots, I was actually flying out of Masterton, which is one of my favorite locations to fly with the ORBX north island scenery (I unfortunately don't have any addon scenery for Australia). I absolutely love the Realair Spitfire for formation flying - it has to be the easiest aircraft of the prop-driven warbirds in my 'hangar' to hold position with.
It's funny that something should be mentioned about making a low-back Spitfire for FSX. Although I've never mentioned it, we have established quite a collection of stuff on the low-back Spitfire Mk.XVIII variant (including a very complete in-depth set of detail photos inside and out of Jim Beasley's example), and would be interested in doing a low-back Spitfire Mk.XVI as well (also very high on my list is the low-back Seafire Mk.XVII). There are of course a fair amount of folks who upon reading this would quickly want to say that we already have enough Spitfires for FSX.
