A Possible WIP

Haven't decided for sure, but I would like to do another rendition of this fine scenery but with more detailing.

Grimes by Ed Wells, on Flickr

Found this a few days ago and it stuck out because it's the Golden Age Museum in Bethel, Pa. If I can get enough reference photo's to allow for the extra details then I'll start on it soon.

Wow with your skillset that would be a really great addition sir. I'll sure be looking forward to the upgrade. I'm sure that the original rendition you posted was done by a Christopher G. Clawson. I have that installed but the give away was the name listed on the large hangar in "Bethel, Penna."

Btw, I'm curious if he is related to the late Paul Clawson? Sometimes it's a small sim world...

Thank you in advance,

good job! looks great.:encouragement:
Thanks! All the hangars are complete. Luckily 3 of them were similar in size so I could scale to match the dimensions without any problem and all of them have the same interior support structure so I really only had to do one and then clone the others, lol. I am doing the main House that sits just off the runway and parking areas. That should be done tomorrow.

Thanks,

Had some Sketchup problems this morning that gave me fits but I was able to get past those and now I'm into "populating" the airfield with some "clutter and humans". Coming along pretty well.

Thank you in advance,
According to the readme in his updated version of his original scenery, he states he is not related to Paul.

Adding sounds to this project but I'm having a problem getting them to play. I have the sounds, made the effects files, made the controllers for each sound and compiled the sound bgl for the scenery folder. . . .everything I did for Tangier Island but I'm not getting any sound on the airfield currently.

When I made sound files for NAS Alameda and NAS Kaneohe Bay (WWII) you have to be sure that your latitude and longitude match the airfield location and also the distance you want to hear the sound. Excuse me if I am "preaching to the choir" and you already checked this. There is also an SDK for effects which is how I learned how to create the sounds.

Going back to the readme, reread it twice and I saw it too..."1935 Aeronca C-3. Model by Paul Clawson (no relation)." Well that settles that lol.

Thank you for the new rendition.
