I was going to drop this in the Carrier thread but decided it would be better to create a separate topic. 
The IRIS A-7 has its strengths and weaknesses, but the biggest hassle was the VC view.
It always looked like I was at the wrong end of the field house/Basketball court.
So, I had some time to try and fix it and I think this works out really well.
Open the aircraft.cfg file and find the [Views] section. Change the eyepoint to:
[Views]
eyepoint = -18.5, 0.0, 2.5, Pilot Seat
I run my VC at 0.5 magnification and this looks almost perfect, at least its in the ballpark. Notice how far back (-18.5 feet) the cockpit is from the center point.
