Sorry, I MEANT to say what a lovely picture but I got carried away by Gartree prison, bottom right under the port wing. I spent a few years there - working, not serving time.
Honest, guv. Actually, the prison was built on the site of an old WWII airfield - you can see the runways if you look carefully, one running along the bottom of the jail and the other crossing it a bit to the left. The 'spectacles' you can see are part of the old perimeter track and dispersals. I vaguely remember it was 14 OTU but I'm sure some of our historians can fill in the gaps.
