I was looking for an airport to land at after leaving Rhinebeck, on my way to Hill Top, Downsville and White Birch, and saw this area. Nice valley approach and really nothing more that I can see other than the rwy. I'm adding a small utility building and simple hangar, but it appears to be just a small farming area. It's between Middleburgh and Cobleskill, NY and about 45nm NW of Rhinebeck. Just another place to land that looks better than default. Can't have too many.

Thanks. Landing from the direction of the images (south) you have some trees to contend with. Not impossible, but it's an easier approach from the north, over the highway and you're down easily. Some more trees and a few other objects and it's done.:salute:

That looks a whole lot better than those patch airstrips!
Yes sir...even before I started doing some photoreal, I would take any chance to at least reduce the size of the airport boundary and not make even small airstrips appear so expansive.

Correction to the readme (I'll get it to Rami as well). I referenced Michael Carr's airstrip in the readme, but called it "Hill Top". . .that is incorrect. . .it's proper name is SkyTop (NY03). My apologies for screwing that up, lol. Irregardless it is an excellent scenery, a short flight from ORA and a real challenge, both in landing and taking off.:salute:

Here I was flying around looking for "Hill Top", LOL.
Nice job Ed, looks great! :applause:

Just an FYI: I'm going to upload an updated ground texture that included a winter texture and a night texture. This is something that you have to decide for yourself if it's really necessary. It will be a sizable download, very close to what the actual scenery was. If you like it as is and don't really intend to do any night flights or venture "into the valley" during the winter, then you probably don't care to download. It will be there if you want it though. Should be available by later this afternoon.
