'A USAF First'

It's amazing that that is even possible...a hand transplant, and even more so for a military doc :icon_lol: . Just kidding. I never had a problem with military doctor, and I know they are as qualified as any other doctor. (I can already hear the swarm)

I just can't imagine having to endure 25 surgeries. I've had 4 knee surgeries and think that's way to many for someone who is not a pro athlete.

dunno about you guys but haveing someone else's hand stuck on the end of the arm would freak me out .. dunno where its been!! :running: :icon_lol:

still pretty amazing though

Thanks for posting that P, that is an amazing story, and truly gives hope that some day the procedure might evolve to limb transplants and what a huge difference that will make. That is PROGRESS at it's very best!

It will be awesome when eyes and other vital organs can be replaced or rebuilt. The main issue besides tissue synching, is nerve connections. If you can get those linked, then you are really getting somewhere in bio technology and medical science..

After all that, I sure hope it takes.

(But I have to agree with stiz ... lol ... )
