A good day to everybody! :wavey:

The last months updates of the Pearl Harbour Projects, together with the splendid Akagi Airgroup, Dec. 1941 repaints released by our friend UncleTgt made me decide to go back to my Pearl Harbour repaints for stock IJN models and start updating them.

UncleTgt created a marvellous tint for all Pearl Harbour Japanese naval aircraft, derived for the historical fact that the Imperial Navy varnished their aerial fleet with a corrosion prevention protective clear coat.
The varnish changed colour under sun ray exposure, taking a sort of "caramel" colour hue that UncleTgt skilfully reproduced.

Therefore I am going to use a set of blank skins, kindly sent to me by UncleTgt, adding to them the various unit markings I painted few years ago.

I will start with something new. At the time, our friend Bub had sent to me three profiles of three Vals shot down by Ltnt. Jr. Kenneth Taylor and Ltnt. Jr. George Welch on 12/07/1941.

Please, see attached below a shot of Aichi D3A1 "Val", serial: BII-233, carrier Hiryu.

The crew were Pilot Officer 2nd class Tunayoshi Tonoyama (pilot) and Flyer 1st class Hajime Murao, (radioman/gunner). This plane was Ken Taylor's first kill of the day.

I will upload as soon as I am finished with these three new skins, then I'll start uploading the updates.
