A WONDERFUL SPITFIRE STORY

Thanks Beana51, what a treat. Fantastic footage of some great aircraft and a wonderful story. The light in Mr. John Blyth's eyes when he see the footage of his wheels up landing is worth the price of admission.

Great film! Those photo recon pilots must have had big brass ones flying deep over enemy territory unarmed and without escort. One of my favorite aircraft in FS9 is the Aeroplane Heaven Spitfire PR.XIX photo recon.

The USAAF also flew regular Spitfire fighters in the MTO. One account of them says that the pilots really hated to give up their Spitfires when they transitioned to Mustangs.
