A2A Aerostar news

Yes me too - flew them for real once upon a time. The electric nosewheel steering was a pain but manageable and the wing spar step over for the rear seat pax could be a pain as did the pilot side clam shell door. A really good performer was 3 minutes behind a King Air 200 block to block over 450 nm once - impressive. Handled ok on one engine as long as you did not let the speed drop below VMCA. A real pocket rocket enjoyed every minute in the Aerostar. Interestingly the ailerons, rudder and elevators are all identical air foil surfaces. Ted Smith designed it unfortunately the type had an unhappy series of builders ending up with Piper at the end. A great machine IFR VFR just hooted along.

Checked it out at A2A coming along nicely and will be for P3DV5 - excellent news.
