A2A Korean War P-51

F-51D, 55-11736,12th FBS, 18th FBG, 5th AF, Korea. Almost done, but still a few things to work out.

About the tanks: my understanding is 75 gal. drop tanks were painted yellow, retrofited with grenade detonators, and used as napalm cannisters.

Optional Canopy Rail Color

While filing away my source images I noticed a problem with FF-736. The canopy frame changes color!

I don't have a photo of FF-736, so I was working from 3 artists renditions, and they all are different. My primary source shows the canopy rail black. My second source shows it blue, with no paint on the vertical frame. My third source shows everything blue as well as the front and side windscreen frames.

Not sure how I missed this, but I did. I don't have a photo of FF-736, so I'm not sure which is accurate, or if they all were at different points in time.
