A2A Piper Cub Released!

Hello,

Being fascinated with the A.V.G. ( Flying Tigers ) I possess several books one this squadron and I know that Piper Cub in Chinese colour was used by one pilot of the A.V.G.

I would like to create this skin for A2A's Piper Cub but I have no photos of the real plane used by the Chinese at the time of the A.V.G, anybody would have photos ?

A great thank's in advance for all, best regards.

Olivier.

Someone please educate me. What are the differences between this and the stock FSX Cub?

Are you serious? I feel like this is a punked setup...
I'll be your Huckleberry.
The stock cub is as realistic as a genuine imitation $3 bill.
The A2A cub has been researched, recorded, finessed and fotographed (yeah...I know) in high quality and that takes a lot of time/talent. Thus what you get at the end is a very real simulation of this plane in every aspect...sound, sight...simple eh?
There is an old, wise and valid saying that applies.."you reap what ya sow"
You get out what ya put in. Do you really think the default planes are even close to real? A2A is endorsed by folks of high regard such as Dudley Henriques and Mitchell Glicksman. Pretty safe bet he would not endorse the default anything.
Hope that helps ya in yer question.

DHL1986, Just check the videos here and on A2A's site and read through the forums here and at A2A's site and you will get an eye full. There is no comparison to the default Cub. Also, you get floats, tundra tires and skis that the default airplanes do not, and there is Heidi.

It is "chalk & cheese"! Don't get me wrong, the default is good, but it laments in the hanger when compared to this A2A beauty! They have done it all - the way it handles, looks, sounds, starts, stalls, lands, rattles, creaks, and of course talks (you gotta get the Accu-Sim too!) the A2A Cub is thousands of feet above the stock Cub! It will force you to be a better sim-pilot, whilst providing you with an ear-to-ear smile at the same time! Honest!!! :ernae:

To Flightsim tonight...Hopefully tomorrow...

Yes, those are quite nice repaints; you should post a package set.:applause:

On a trip around the world, very slowly.
Just finshed the Atlantic crossing and already heading across Europe. Landed in Sweden a few minutes ago.

Man, you have my deepest respect and admiration FAC. I think the A2A Cub is a thing of beauty, that's why I purchased it. . .I probably should have spent a bit more time really studying the specs though as I've only flown it twice since it was released and once I realized my 50cc Scooter is faster, I haven't flown it since and won't again. Waste of money. . .wayyyy too slow. So your undertaking is mind boggling when I think back to the few times I tried to fly it faster than the gulls along the coast of Tangier Island and failed, lol.
Good luck on your journey.:ernae:

You definitely have to be in the right frame of mind to fly a Cub. I think of it as hovering practice. :icon_lol:

From a personal note, as I have said, I am thoroughly enjoying flying slow in the Cub. I spend enough money on scenery, it is nice to actually absorb what I am flying over rather than go blowing past it. It gives me a better appreciate for work that guys like Bill do :)

Very well said. I absolutely love flying the Cub around ORBX's Tasmania. It is just too good to be true. :medals:

Is there any ETA on the service pack? I see no mention of a date here or on the A2A forum.

I couldn't agree more; 200% more! :wavey:
I fly all the time, and the cockpit is often too busy and "Professional" to sit back and enjoy the real scenery for very long; not too mention that "VFR on top" or IFR in Class A doesn't give you a whole lot of details to "o'gal" over. FlightSim allows me to do that and go places no one would sent me to for free.:kilroy: And, when I get too old and retire or, fail my medical and can no longer do GA also, there's flightsim to keep my exploring nature "happy." :engel016:

A2A's Cub worth every penny and so is Mr. Womack's packages (I have them all) and enjoy them throughly... Thanks Dev.'s! :applause:
