A2A site hacked?

Quicksand

SOH-CM-2023
I just went over to the A2A site home page and clicked on the "Products" button, and some garbage is trying to load.

It is a popup that tells you your computer infected and you must use the link to scan it at once.... This ain't good...

Everything is clean at the moment. I'd check your computer Quicksand, these things can hijack the browser as well as a page, so it mgith be case that your browser was comprimised and not the site?

If it happens again please do let me know.:ernae:

That happened to me when I clicked on a picture attachment on Facebook -- prompts that my computer was infected and to click to download a program. I clicked it off on the page Close. It went away, but then about a week or so later, it returned, got progressively more intrusive until it locked up my computer.
Got advice from friends -- Used Windows System Restore to get to where I could download and run the free Malwarebytes and TrendMicro antivirus and antispyware programs. Malwarebytes found the Koobface virus and another program and allowed me to delete them. Ran the TrendMicro with clear results, and purchased the $39 antivirus/antispyware version the next day.
Hope that's not what you encountered but sounds like it.
I don't open stuff that I'm not familiar with and try to avoid fishy sites, thought Windows Defender would suffice, but obviously it didn't.
My system seems clean, but I'm running the new and improved antivirus programs and getting updates daily.
Good luck,
jbtate

QS scratches head and feels embarrassed.. Sorry Lewis.. It was me. I just did a full scan with Bit Defender... I found Koobface.. Bit Defender says its gone now... We'll see in time.... Sorry to point fingers, Lewis... I've never had a virus on this machine before... I'm really particular where I surf, and still have no idea where I got it...

This happens to me a lot visting the A2A website, I push products or forum button and I get that pop up. Close down and try again, nothing happens, no pop up, works as it should. It only happens with the A2A site though.
Not sure where I'm going with this, mainly just an FYI I guess. Though I am worried about making a purchase there at the moment. Your site or my computer this makes my leary about putting my CC online.
