A2A WOPIII P-47 Out Now!!!

I think I broke my 23 model. No matter what I can't start it. The sim locked up while using it, and since then it won't start. I have reinstalled the aircraft, as well as accusim, with no change. Same issue with accusim turned off. The other models run just fine, 20 and 22.

Ctrl-E causes a starter motor type of noise, the prop begins rotating, and I hear a backfire about every four seconds. There is fuel in the tank, and the tank is selected. If I load it after another plane has been loaded the engine is off upon loading the 23 model, and again can't be started.

Any ideas?

Sorry I forgot to include those details, but engine overhaul was complete, and auto mixture is not enabled. Whatever the issue it seems specific to the 23 model since the 20 and 22 work fine for me.

Well I got it fixed, had to uninstall it first. Shoulda done that last night but wanted to go to bed since it was 6am and I had to work at 1pm. lol Thanks for the help though.

Here's my two favorite paints, both released as freeware, which is an awesome bonus.

speaking of freeware repaints, I've just uploaded this one, for the fans of Oz among you.
I know, purely fictional, but it could have been, couldn't it?

All of these paints are fantastic but i must ask, wheres the love for the ETO paints?

patience, my friend, patience. All good things come to those that wait....

OK, waited long enough, how's this for an ETO paint? Still WiP, mind you!

Does anyone know how to buy Gift Certificates on the A2A site?? I can't find them to save my life!

edit - I got my brother to buy it for me in exchange for some of my Christmas Amazon vouchers - downloading now :jump:

Request for rare elusive Cuban P-47 please.

F-47D-35-RAUnit: Fuerza Aerea Ejercito de Cuba
Serial: 452
Columbia Camp, June 1953. The sole P-47 has painting like this. The rest P-47s have Red, Green and Yellow colours.

One of my usual req. My p-47 is naked without a Cuban paint. All help appreciated.

but this is a bubbletop?

Well done 97J

Thanks gajit. Like you I passed on the Accusim module to start with but I'm pleased with what is included in the standard package (although I was a bit disappointed to find that the open canopy sounds were Accusim only). I may elect to get Accusim in a few weeks. And of course I've added a few of these wonderful repaints too.
Thank you A2A :applause:

True the cubans had bubble tops. They earlier had the one wop made. No known pics although as both known non bubbletops crashed. only written accounts and logs. Id assume being pre revolution that the non bubbletops would have supported the same schemes as the bubbletops. drawing that conclusion from the hawker seafury, and the p-51.

I've made some more progress on my latest repaint, of an aircraft of the 410th FS/ 373rd FG, based in Woodchurch, UK.
I saw a pic of this aircraft over Mont St Michel, showing bare metal, invasion stripes that had been overpainted and some really bad paint weathering, and I thought, now there's a challenge!
I'm not quite satisfied, but making progress. What do you think? Any comments so far?

Quick tip: At least on my system self shadows causes a pretty big performance hit on this one, perhaps like the Aerosoft F-16 due to some of the curved surfaces, so if you've got that on try turning it off. I saw a 10-15% increase when I disabled it.

Hi SolarEagle

Its odd how it all works - I get excellent FPS on the P47 with everything on - but as you say on the F-16 i cant fly without self shadow off. I also find that on the Realair Hellcat. Its a shame.

Was ready to purchase this one until I saw the 36$ expansion pack.. for nothing else but some systems simulation and improved sounds..Talking about greed..I think a 42 $ model should have the fancy sounds and simulations included. They did the same with the Stratocruiser..Horrible sale practice ,no deals with A2A on my part.
