A400 in Marketplace

Assume this has been filtered back from FS2024?
No repaints in sight, no Air Forces in package.
Model looks OK, but really, unflyable.
This one will need some community Love

Question is this in anyway Roland's A400M model? I have that one for FS2020 and it's fairly systems intensive. This one looks similar.

No it's not Roland's one. If my understanding is correct, the default A400M in MSFS2024 is from Inibuilds, and the one we're talking about here is just a downport to MSFS.
I haven't tried it yet, but from the screenshots, it seems this new model is nicer graphically.

Awe buggers. I just got it the other night and didn't get much past starting the APU. Hope it's not as bad a flyer as you're saying!

Well: Mushy is the word I'd use for the FD.
The A400 is not Mushy.
There's a fix on .TO but I suspect that would be for the Laborie model.

I created this texture, but I had to use it instead of the Aviators texture because I didn't have an aircraft.cfg texture file for MSFS2020.

I didn't like the real-world A400 at first, and thought the RAF should have stayed with a combination of C-17s and C-130s. However, it has grown on me, and I'm glad we got it when MSFS2024 came out. ( Still glad I have the Globemaster and Herc too, of course. )

Same, recent YT vid opened my eyes to the place the A400 has in mil cargo. Still a big fan of turboprops, so that itch is scratched as well after watching another YT sim pilot run it in 2024, very Airbus just missing the tactical pages.

Likewise - it had powerplant issues initially but once all that was sorted it filled its niche rather well.
It is a very competent lifter, filling a mission unsuited to either C130 or C-17.

The office is quite well done, haven't delved into the systems but there's plenty that lights up.
However the gear takes an age to cycle (but not IRL), and you'd better not let go the rudder after a turn for fear of seasickness in the yoyo.
Flaps also seem a bit lethargic.

The motors and fans are really well modelled, as is the rest.

Not really sure where to go and complain about the animations/dynamics, something really does need doing there

Too bad it's Marketplace - I'm betting it's encrypted. If you could access the contact points, you could edit the extend/retract time. Probably for the flaps too.

For those of us who use WinRAR, you have a possibility of accessing/reading the encrypted files of your purchases. They will not be usable for other people, you can't share them, but at least you can read them.

Navigate to the addon you want to edit, rightclick on it, winrar and then add to archive, and then save the compressed file to somewhere else. Extract the compressed file, et voila. All files will be there. I'm pretty sure this will help repainters too.
