I was at Half Price Books yesterday and saw they had a couple of copies of Abacus Flight Deck5 for FSX/FS2004 priced at $7.00. Being pretty much a "Land Lover" is this worth having ? I bought some Abacus aircraft years ago have kind of stayed away from them ever since so i'm kinda in between on this one, and don't know much about it.

I'd say that for $7.00 you can't go far wrong - it's only the price of a couple of drinks after all. If you aren't keen on modern jets, though, you could use d/l carriers (from USS Langley up to date) and a/c with the free Arrcab or RcBco for the catapult takeoffs and arrested landings.

I'd say it's a toss-up. Flight Deck 5 was the last flight deck title I bought. The feature I was most interested in, the carrier landing package is now freeware for both FS 2004 and FSX. There are also better models available in separate packages or for freeware.
