Accusim B-17 UK Bases ?

Hi Guys,
Downloaded this awesome aircraft last night and just wondered if anyone could point us to a good FSX UK B-17 base which I could use for her home base. Timm

Thanks for that. Oh you mention Polebrook that's approx 10 min drive from my house. Went there a few weeks back and walked round the old barracks, sadly all gone but the roads and layout can be seen. Also at the other end of the run way there's a nice plaque for those who were stationed there. Also during much of 1943, Capt Clark Gable was stationed at Polebrook to produce a recruiting film for aircraft gunners.

I had did the scenery for a member of the A2A forums who's Farther in-law had flown out of there in a B-17 named "Sharktooth" which I had also down textures for him as well. I didn't place all the buildings in there, I tried to cut down on FPS hits.
 
Apologies for not posting a link, but Blackberries and this new forum software really don't mix unfortunately.

There's a post a bit further down this forum entitled "RAF Thorpe Abbotts" which has links to my Thorpe Abbotts and Thurleigh sceneries, plus another thread by FAC257 with the scenery he has done to go with the B-17. Unfortunately I can't actually convince this toy to display enough of the front page to get links to them because the connection times out downloading. Sorry. :(

Hope you find what you're after. If you want somewhere else, ask. One of us will probably be able to do something!
